From Lake Manasarover our actual journey begins heading past Barkha wide windswept plains to reach at the foot of holy Mt. Kailash, where Parikrama-kora or circuit starts from the south west face of Kailash and then crossing over a high and holy Droma-la pass at 5,470 m high regarded as sacred site with awesome views of Kailash North Face at its closest. Note: Kyirong border between Nepal and Tibet / China recently been opened for foreign travelers sometimes this border can be closed due to Chinese government rules and condition or by broken road due to landslide, where Encounter Nepal will inform you well in advance and try to reroute the journey where possible.
