Introduction:
Mt. Kailash Yatra or a journey, a mesmerizing trip where you can experience an adventure of a lifetime, takes you into far flung corners of South West Tibetan plateau considered as world largest and highest table land or a plateau with immense views of dramatic landscapes and mountains.

An amazing mountain Mt. Kailash at the height of above 6,714 m and 22,028 ft high, which is wholly within Tibet a Mountain full of beauty and grace, where its four great cardinal faces, termed with gems, Eastern face believed to be crystal, the Western ruby, the Southern sapphire and the Northern gold.

Mt. Kailash Yatra journey starts from the capital of Nepal in Kathmandu where you can get familiarization visiting Buddhist and Hindu famous monasteries and temples like Syambhunath - Bouddhanath Stupas with Pashupatinath Temple before heading towards your lifetime destination to Mt. Kailash and holy Lake Manasarover.
From Kathmandu heading towards a newly opened frontier at Kyirong situated within Central Himalaya around Langtang Himal that straddles the border between Nepal and Tibet / China, as our overland drive leads towards North West past Trisuli and Dhunche town to reach the border at Kyirong for fist overnight stops.
With proper acclimatization days at Kyirong at the height of 3,950 m and then heading towards our goal at first visit of sacred and huge Lake at Manasarover located above 4,550 m high here with time to offer and worship with puja if you are Hindu and Buddhist or Jain (for others faith can enjoy its beautiful surrounding).
From Lake Manasarover our actual journey begins heading past Barkha wide windswept plains to reach at the foot of holy Mt. Kailash, where Parikrama-kora or circuit starts from the south west face of Kailash and then crossing over a high and holy Droma-la pass at 5,470 m high regarded as sacred site with awesome views of Kailash North Face at its closest.
Finally walking journey ends near Darchen for the drive back towards Nepal and Tibet border to reach back at Kathmandu after a most wonderful and awesome time with adventure and pilgrimage of a lifetime experience on Mt. Kailash Yatra and a journey.
Note:
Kyirong border between Nepal and Tibet / China recently been opened for foreign travelers sometimes this border can be closed due to Chinese government rules and condition or by broken road due to landslide, where Encounter Nepal will inform you well in advance and try to reroute the journey where possible.
Mt. Kailash Yatra and overland journey can be done best from April to October months includes wet rainy monsoon months of June to mid September also, as Tibet lies in rain shadow areas where monsoon clouds blocked by giant Himalayan mountains, that is why Tibet remains as arid and barren country with only few places with greenery and small patch of forest.

Starting with exciting and scenic short flight in a small aircraft either Dornier or Twin Otter overlooking fantastic views of mountain range which includes Mt. Everest as the plane lands at Lukla unique airstrip and then starting the adventure with pleasant and gradual walks past number of Sherpa villages with well tended terraced and farm fields.
Walk leads within Sagarmatha National Park covering an area of 1,148 sq.kms, Sagarmatha a Nepalese name for Mt. Everest, and Sherpa of Tibetan origin calls Chomolungma in both languages means 'Great Mother'.

Best Season for Everest Three Pass from April to June and September to early December, the grade of trekking will be from moderate-adventurous to challenging (in snow condition)
