Morning an hour hike up to Poon Hill for stunning sunrise views over array of Himalayan peaks certainly a great scenic spot with amazing scenery, from here walk leads to alternative route through deep alpine forest to reach at large Gurung village in Ghandruk and then walking downhill to a road head to catch a ride back to scenic Pokhara after a marvelous country walks of ups and downhill on Poon Hill Trekking.
Note:
Poon Hill Trekking can be done all months of the year except the monsoon season of July and August the wet months, for best times March to May and mid September to December with clear sky for constant views of mountains.
