Nepal is an abode of more than 19000 mountain peaks
including eight peaks in the Eight Thousand Meter height club. For the
successful ascent of these prolific mountains lots of intrepid desires and
hunger are required. Everybody dreams of being on top of mountain vista into
the thin air. However, it is not possible to climb as it is easy to dream on.
There are numerous ways to quench the hunger of mountaineering. If you are a
novice climber or has an ambition to experience mountaineering then Nepal is
the best platform to do.
Before embarking on the intrepid mission of Expedition it is
wise to scale small peaks less than seven thousands meter height in the form of
peak climbing. People might misunderstand between peak climbing and expedition.
Peak Climbing is generally referred to mountaineering activities in the
mountains below 7 thousands meter height while above 7 thousands the
mountaineering is called as expedition. However, Sherpa and mountaineering
association of Nepal have identified Mt. Amadablam (6812 m) and some few other
peaks below 7 thousands as an Expedition mountain because of technical
difficulties. Find out top 5 peaks which
are very popular in Nepal for the Peak Climbing activity.
Chulu West and Chulu East are popular peaks of Annapurna
region of Nepal. These peaks can be compared to two popular peaks of Everest
region as Island peak and Mera peak. First scaled by Japanese expedition group
back in 1952 the Chulu West is the most popular among these two peaks. There
are three distinct ridges in the Chulu range as West, Central and East. The
Central is rarely scaled or attempted because of the technical difficulty.
These mountains are in the vicinity of Annapurna Circuit Trek and the climbers
can enjoy the delightful splendors of the trekking trail as well. Therefore,
most of the climbers prefer this mountain for the climbing voyage. After the
completion of the climbing the crossing of Thorong La Pass (5416 m) leads to
Lower Mustang region comprising of Muktinath, Kagbeni and Jomsom.
4. Pisang (6091 m) Peak Climbing
Probably the most scenic peak climbing adventure is the
Pisang Peak climbing. This is comparatively easier to climb than Chulu West and
Chulu East in the Annapurna region peak climbing in Nepal. The trail traverses
along the Annapurna Circuit Trekking route as well. The trip of meadows (Yak
Kharka), Manang Valley and Lower Mustang area are the major highlights of this
peak climbing after ascent. Lots of novice trekkers use this mountain to start
the climbing voyage. The ascent is very comfortable and descend is done using
the same trail. The rugged mountain terrain is equally captivating. From
lowlands terraced farmlands to Himalayan barren desert climbers can enjoy the
grandeurs of Himalayan scenery along with intrepid mountaineering experience.
3. Mera (6476 m) Peak Climbing
Mera Peak is situated in the alternative location of Khumbu
region of Nepal. En-route to the peak base camp for the peak climbing activityclimbers can enjoy the spectacular green lush environment and scenic beauty as
far as Makalu region. Mera offers best experience of mountaineering in slightly
comfortable manner in comparison to other peak climbing in Khumbu region of
Nepal. However, lots of crevasses are hidden due to mass of snow which requires
excellent supervision of Sherpa and crew members. The successful attempt of
mountains in Nepal is possible after the best selection of qualitative
agencies. Enjoy Mera climbing before embarking on the journey of further
upgraded expeditions.
2. Lobuche (6119 m) Peak Climbing

Everest Base Camp (5365 m) before embarking towards the summit of the Lobuche
Peak is the major highlight. Once you are on top of the Lobuche the view of
Pumori, Tabuche, Cholatse and Amadablam is the most spectacular one. The
climbing of Lobuche requires greater attention too than other peaks as it is
technically very difficult peak to climb. The ladder and safety harness in this
peak is handled extremely meticulously because this peak is also the warm up
peak for the Mt. Everest (8848 m).
1. Island (6189 m) Peak Climbing
This is the most prodigious and famous peak climbing
mountain located in the Khumbu region of Nepal. Famously known as Imja Tse as
