Hiking Down to Everest Base Camp Trekking -This is where the Mt. Everest truly came to life…Everest Base Camp Trekking organizer
Of late, the Khumbu region, home to Mt. Everest and Everest Base Camp may be developing a sad or rather bad reputation for becoming a ‘killer zone’ with the tragedies that have befallen this area in the last two years, but as famous and just as strikingly beautiful this region maybe, the loss of lives have taken its toll and nature can rightly be called a case of ‘Beauty and the Beast’. But this is nature at its cruelest best; and its fate that calls the shots. In the recent earthquake that hit Nepal on the 25th April, much of this area including base camp took the brunt of avalanches that once again tore down dare devil expeditions expected to summit Mt. Everest successfully this time around after last year’s failure due to snow storms and avalanches that killed scores of climbers, and this time the unexpected killer quake that took all by surprise was the reason that dashed everyone’s hopes of making it to the icon peak, only for expeditions to be called off once again, leaving death and destruction in its wake, for such are the vagaries of nature and geology…but the sunshine will rise again and melt the snow, finally clearing trails and opening avenues to this famously known - King of all Trips -. The snowy dust will finally settle on the mountains of the Khumbu and come autumn and lovely clear shimmering blue skies; the mountain birds will soon start singing their merry tunes and the drums of destiny will once again beat, beckoning one and all to dare its charming paths. Nature will apologise in spectacular seduction of its mesmerizing beauty will attract mountain lovers to witness what will be something different after taking lives of those who dared to tread its routes. We once again trek on a well known trail through colorful villages that were destroyed in the earthquake, but will have recovered by the coming trekking season that will start in the month of September this year.
Come autumn, and it is hoped that much of the dust will be settled by then from the killer quakes that hit a poor nation, throwing its whole infrastructures out of gear and wrecking Nepal’s tourism landscapes; by September, the skies will once again sparkle with sunshine and aqua marine blue, and twin otter flights will soar into the skies carrying adventure lovers who will look to ‘Hiking Down to Mt Everest Base Camp  ’ -This is where the Mt.
